Bears Dominate in 46-0 Win Over Legion

The New York Bears rolled to its second-straight win to open the 2023 season, blasting by the New York Legion, 46-0, at the Joseph T. St. Lawrence Sports Complex in Hillburn on August 19. The Bears converted a key 4th down on the way to a 22-yard Rolston Romero TD run. The Bears added two Jua Rodriquez TD passes for scores to Tyler Williams and Tyler Peddie before a wild interception return that featured two laterals scored a TD right before half to make it 27-0 at the break.


The Bears defense was on full display, holding the Legion to 40 total yards and six turnovers. Both teams will pick up thie respective seasons after Labor Day. Next week, in the final EFA game before the EFA-XEFL partnership takes place, will feature the New York Bandits (0-0) taking on the Empire State Demon Knights (0-1).
